If you want to sign up as a walker (or non Walker which allows you to send emails to your friends for donations), it is real easy. Go to the http://www.jdrf.org/ site and Register (under green sneaker), Register for a Walk, Key in North Carolina, then Charlotte (Carowinds), Register for this walk as a team walker, choose a team – Lions Strutters, Select Captain, either under Sandy or Sandra Decker. Once you do that, you can go back to the site and send out donation letters. You can write you own letter to personalize it. Just follow the links and it will walk you through it. I tested mine by sending it to Dave first. If you have someone close to you that you can send it to as a test and then look at it, you’ll be able to see what it looks like. It’s good because it gives the recipient two links, one on your fund raising page showing your personal goal and the other will bring the person to the donation page. I also offered by people the option of sending a check (same basic wording as on our letter to Dear Family and Friends). I did this in case someone doesn’t feel comfortable in donating on line; they have the other option.
