Every Year the River Hills Lions Club honors both Lions Members as well as members of our community.

Melvin Jones Award: This award, which was created in 1973 by Lions Club International, is given to an individual to acknowledge their dedication to humanitarian service and their commitment to our motto “We Serve”.

Unsung Hero This award is given to an individual who lives in our community and whose volunteer efforts have made a difference in our lives and in our community.
For 2008 we had two Unsung Heros
